The typical Internet user might not be as young as one might think, according to a report released Monday by Gartner Group. The average American who logs on is 41 years old with an average income of $65,000 (US$), married with 2.81 children and uses a PC at work. E-Commerce Times

US web use may have peaked
Internet usage in the US has reached a plateau as consumers spend less time on the web, according to a PwC survey. The report shows that while more US consumers access the internet from home than in the other four countries surveyed, they spend an hour less per week on the net than a year ago. Financial Times
