Register.com crée son service d'enchères sur les adresses web
La société américaine Register.com Inc., numéro deux mondial de la vente de noms de domaine internet, a annoncé mercredi le lancement d'un nouveau service de mise aux enchères des 20 millions d'adresses de sites web déjà enregistrés. Le service Afternic Virtual Broker permettra à n'importe lequel de ses clients, particulier ou professionnel, de proposer anonymement une offre sur n'importe adresse en .com, .net ou .org. Il prendra également en charge le transfert des fonds de l'acheteur au vendeur si ce dernier accepte la transaction.
"Nous créons un juste milieu entre le Nasdaq et eBay", a déclaré Jon Whelan, directeur général adjoint d'Afternic Inc. (Yahoo Actualités)
