Students hooked on the internet
Students spend so long surfing the internet and emailing friends that their college work suffers, a study has shown.
Up to 15 per cent of college students admit that their studies are affected by the amount of time they spend online and that their computer use is "out of control".
A separate report yesterday claimed that a quarter of our working lives is now spent managing email, and it will only get worse. On average, we send 30 to 70 emails a day, or up to 6,000 a year, accounting for two hours of every working day. (The Electronic Telegraph) |
