EU says internet is running out of space
The European Union warns that the internet is running out of space. EU Commissioner Erkki Liikanen says getting the new system up and running before addresses run out in three or four years is vital. The new communications system, known as Internet protocol version 6 (IPv6), will increase the number of internet addresses. EBay Is Asked to Remove Trade Center Items
The Bloomberg administration demanded that eBay remove World Trade Center memorabilia from its Web site. The company said it would remove items that appeared to violate trademark laws or its internal guidelines on a case-by-case basis. But company officials said they would not take all trade center-related items off the site, saying that the company's policy was generally to let the marketplace determine what items were sold there. Mitnick Meets His Pigeon
Kevin Mitnick and the former Novell employee he duped into giving him access to the company's computer network -- an act which eventually sent Mitnick to prison -- finally meet face to face. "This is ironic," Mitnick said as he and Shawn Nunley shook hands and greeted each other like old pals at the RSA Conference on computer security.
