Bon de réduction pour un «string» par SMS
La société Britannique de lingerie Gossard a lancé une campagne de couponing par SMS. Les femmes sont encouragées à envoyer un SMS pour recevoir en retour un bon de réduction d'une valeur de £ 1.- contre l'achat d'un «string». Depuis le 1er octobre, il y a déjà eu 12'000 SMS envoyés. (netsurf/sms)

MIT offers all its courses free online
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has decided to publish online all its course materials. “This material is out there for the good of mankind,” said Jon Paul Potts, an MIT spokesperson. “There is no attempt to charge for this. There is no revenue model.” MSNBC

The technology industry lost 113,000 jobs in the first half of the year, but the rate of job cuts appears to be slowing, according to a new report. More than 5.2 million workers hold tech jobs, down from a peak of 5.7 million in March 2001, according to the report released Thursday by the American Electronics Association. (WSJ — October 10)
