The five firms are Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Morgan Stanley, the Salomon Smith Barney unit of Citigroup Inc., the U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray unit of U.S. Bancorp, and the securities unit of Deutsche Bank AG.
