Luci is an animated graphical chatterbot that moves in real time. She smiles, laughs, winks, and blinks. She also tells jokes and gets annoyed when certain insulting questions are repeatedly asked. Luci likes nothing better than to talk about her employer, bot-builder Artificial Life.

Luci Says: I'm Luci, a smartbot developed by Artificial Life, Inc. I am here to guide you through this Web site and answer your questions about my company. I'm very pleased to meet you, Emily.

Emily says: What kind of company is Artificial Life?
Luci Says: ALife is shorthand for our company, Artificial Life. We develop smart bot products for e-businesses!

Emily says: Are you a bot?
Luci Says: I could do anything you want. I'm a WebGuide, so I'm completely customizable.

Luci Says: The Internet is a gigantic web of computers and information. Our company is developing intelligent bot software that makes it easier to find information and interact with other people.

Emily says: Who made you?
Luci Says: The talented and creative artists at A-Life created my fabulous avatar.

Emily says: Can you speak too?
Luci Says: I'm sorry, could you rephrase that?

Emily says: Can you speak?
Luci Says: The engineers here are trying to make me talk out loud, but I can be a bit stubborn.

Emily says: Who are your clients?
Luci Says: ALife's been busy this past year cultivating new clients. We're thrilled to offer you a peek at some of them! (list of clients appears with logos under dialogue box)

Emily says: Do you know Jeff Bezos?
Luci Says: Steve Rabinovitz is the Director of Investor Relations here!

Emily says: Do you dance?
Luci Says: I love dancing.

Emily says: That's nice. Do you like chocolate?
Luci Says: Who told you that?

Emily says: No one
